Super Charger Belts!!!

    2016 Silverado 5.3 w/2.9 whipple.
    Original pulley 4.375
    Original belt gates century series k0610546 rib 106"
    New pulley 3.250
    New belt gates rpm k061054
    6 rib 105"

    Original belt was slipping so I changed to the rpm series. Rpm series made it till the 4th pull during tuning. The belt popped, not shredded it snapped in half.

    What's the best belt??? I'm hearing a gates "greenback"?? Any info or part numbers?? What's the best belt out there?

    Did it snap as the run ended? Dyno runs can be harder on a belt than the street. When you let off the throttle the engine can change speed more abruptly than when its on the street. So you may find this isn't an issue for you on the road.

    I'm tuning on the street. This belt snapped when I launched it.

    I have a gates green belt coming tomorrow. Talked to gates and they said the gates green belts are a little more stretchy and the rpm belt is very rigid they said that's why it snapped ‍♂️
